Hermetic Compressors of Houston takes pride in the remanufacturing process of every compressor brought to us.

Each compressor is completely disassembled and thoroughly cleaned. All tolerances are then measured on the crankshaft, cylinder bore size and piston diameter for exact manufacturer’s specifications. Every part is closely inspected visually and with instruments to determine correct tolerances and are free from defects. Excessive wear parts such as bearings, discharge valves, piston rings, lip seals, suction valves, snap rings and insulators are always replaced.

  • Case
  • Cylinder Heads
  • Bottom Pan
  • End Bell
  • Crankshaft
  • Oil Pump
  • Piston
  • Wrist Pins
  • Rods
  • Valve Plates
  • Oil Pickup Screen

The motor is either reused or replaced with a new-rewound motor that has been cleaned, baked and tested for shorts, insulation breakdown and resistance and surge. Each compressor is then tested and monitored under “Open Test Conditions” for extended periods of time, where amp draw, oil pressure and valve leak back are then checked. The compressor is then blanked off, charged with dry nitrogen and inspected for any leaks and made ready for shipment.

Every compressor comes with a 1-Year Limited Warranty against defects in workmanship and materials.
